I'm thinking of putting this up for sale. Chassis date is 3/31/80. Has the ss preamp. Recently serviced and biased with 2 new matched Electro Harmonix 6CA7's. Also loaded with an Eminence Patriot series Texas Heat. Pretty decent condition for it's age. Usual light rust on the corner hardware, couple of nicks in the tolex, obligatory nicotine stained grill cloth. Also has the original 2 button footswitch. Any help will be appreciated. Feel free to email me at strepp@comcast.net. Tim |

Did the amp servicing include a cap job? Does the amp come with factory footswitch? Does it come with original manual and sales receipt? Does it come with a factory cover and/or casters? The answers to these questions help determine what price category to place it in. The new speaker and tubes are a plus. A 112RD-65 in non-working beat-up condition might only bring $100-175. If it is in rough but basically functional condition might sell for $200-300. In really good shape, recently serviced and fully operational with all original accessories (footswitch) it could bring $325-400. At the top end, a mint condition unit with all the original paperwork, sales receipt, cover, castors, footswitch, etc. might bring $500-550. Current market for this type of amp will also affect its resale value. The prices above are just an illustration of the area you might expect. Watching eBay over time (the only continuous source of different Music Man amps on the planet that I am aware of) will give you an idea of where these things are currently valued (base this only on actual sales prices). Steve, thanks for the input. Any leaking or dry caps were replaced. It does have the original 2 button footswitch. I do not have the original manual or sales receipt. It does not have castors or cover. All controls are fully functional. Tim |
