Does anyone know of a one stop shop where I can get Caps for my 112 rd 50? Mouser does not appear to have them all.
I need:
2) 60 mf x 350v
1) 2 mf x 350v
2) 150 mf x 50v
2) 400 mf x 25v
3) 20 mf x 25v I have already replaced 2 of the 5

Thanks - Tom

Mouser SHOULD have what you need. You might have to fudge a little on the factors. Use 68mF instead of 60, 150mF@100 etc. you can go up a little in the farad count and as long as the voltage is the same or above, you're OK.

You will need (2) of the 400 x 25 caps and mouser's minimum order is 290. Let me know if I can sell you two. I have plenty......

Hi All, I'm just about to re-cap my rd-50 head and 210-rd. Most of the caps are easily found. However, the rd-50 seems to have some hard to find values.

Can I make the following substitutions?

2mF@50v for 2mF@25v (1 cap)
and
2mF@450v for 2mF@350v (1 cap)

Also, I've been looking at newark.com and have decided to go with Spaugue. Is there any audible or functional difference between the Spaugue TVA and TE series? Also, if I have a choice between high temperature (ie 105+ degrees) and general (ie 85+ degrees) should I choose the high temp caps?

Thanks

I always go higher temp if I have a choice. just me. As far as the rating, the voltage rating can go up without a problem as long as the farad count remains the same of close. I PERSONALLY detect very little difference in sound between cap but the TVA's seem to be the thing, although their price has doubled lately. Also, the 450 volt caps are PHYSICALLY bigger so you have to make sure they will FIT where you want them to go. Usually, the lower voltage caps are only available in the little series whereas the high voltage caps are in the TVA line.
