Just a quick Q... have a MM 21065 (chassis #2275-65-ul) late 70's, i'm assuming- s/n bno8825 control pcb is a "GB-1b" tried to make out the designations on your on-line schem (page 2 of 3) but it's not clear enought for me to read. the 2 watt resistor across pins 1 & 8 on the bottom side of the OUTER power tube socket is unrecognizable..the first band is possibly "1" brown, the second, black "0", it seems- from there it's cracked. could be a 5% tolerance. the other tube socket doesn't utilize this resistor--otherwise appears identical. If this is original, do you know the value? thank you for your time, this site seems to have great answers. | ||

They were originally 10 ohm 1 watt resistors. You could put 2 watt in there without any harm. They kind of act as a fuse of sorts, that's why they only used 1 watt. Mike. | ||

Hey Mike, I have a 212-65 with original Sylanvia EL-34's. One blew the resistor. I changed the tubes out with winged C's and replaced the resistor with a 2 watt. Amps sounds better and the 2 watt works great. |
