Hi everyone and thanks for all advice, help, suggestions etc.. in advance! I was given a 210 65 from someone. It has been sitting probably for 20 years, so it is dusty and dirty as hell! I plane on doing a complete overhaul on this badboy. I have it stripped down already and plan on re tubing, re clothing the grill, removing and cleaning all knobs, cleaning pots and inputs, speaker clips etc.. Complete overhaul. This is my 1st MM and I am not that familiar with them. I have had Fenders mostly.. HRD, Champ, Blues Jr.! This insides are very different then anything I have worked on in the past. Changing tubes and biasing a Fender is easy breezy. I pulled the guts from the box and saw there were 2 trim pots. 1 lied flat in the middle of the board and 1 was perpendicular between 2 longer items(not capacitors so I will call them items)toward the rear. I have navigated the MM forum but have come up with nothing when looking for schematics of the circuit board. I have new tubes(JJ's) and cloth on the way but want to get this puppy going as soon as they get here. I have taken pics of the board from various angles but I am not sure if I can post them. I am going to use deoxit to clean most electronics. Soap and water for the tolex, and probably soak the knobs in some warm soapy water and use a toothbrush to get out the dirt/dust in the ridges of the knobs. The amp is probably late 70's as it doesnt have the 12AX7 pre. It just reads 11/21 with what looks like ms above it in pen on the board. Any suggestions or leads to the readable schematics r even pictures of 210 65 boards? Thanks again | ||

Schematics are listed on the very first page of this site. Your adgustment procedure is listed at the very TOP of this page. Short story: Measure the voltage across the two 3.9 ohm resistors on the driver board(that seperate board at the back in the middle). They should be 1 watt so they are large resistors. You want 25mV across the 3.9's. Set the lowest one for 25mV, using the trim pot on THAT driver board and make sure the maximum of either is 55mV. Any questions, let us know. Sean, I did the same to the MM75 I found at a garage sale for $100. It was, luckily, mostly a cleaning thing. DeOxit is great - do all the jacks, pots and switches, even the tube socket recepticles and tube pins. The background noise on mine is now non-existant. One thing - scrubbing the knobs, if they are originals, even in just warm water, will take the paint off them. I'm not sure how to get around this but you might try cleaning them with just a wet cloth and watching closely as you wipe so as not to loose the paint. Good luck. David | ||
