How do I set the bias on my RD112-50? I checked with my bias meter and 2 6L6's are reading 10 to 15 mA. On the bias meter it states 30 to 35mA for 6L6's. What do I do?

Albert Does your meter say musicman 30 to 35 MA!NO! Go to Setting Bias on Music Man Amps it tells you how to set the bias. If you have a RD50 with 12 inch spaeker then the amp is self biasing. Your meter may work great on a Fender amp that is all tube but this is a Hybrid !! If you have a RD65 then you can set the bias, but do it as music man says to do it. Not bias king

Thanks Terry, Yes it is a 12 inch speaker RD-50.. Made in 82. It must be self biasing! I just thought it was strange that on the bias King it states 30- 35mA for a 6L6 and mine read 10- 15mA. I thought that something must be wrong, but since it is a hybrid it is different, right? It sounds OK but I seem to get a little noise when I play a chord, no Hum though.

Does the same hold true for a MM RD50 110? I have been thinking of putting new tubes it it butr wasn't sure about biasing.
