I have Raytheon 6CA7/ EL34 in my 115 RP (Chassis number 2275-65).... I'm assuming these aren't the original tubes. Anyone know what the originals were? Thanks! |

Yeah. The original were the ones that came with the amp from the factory. |

Back with you - I couldn't really understand your message. Are the Raytheons I have in there now the originals? I'm trying to gauge the current age of the tubes I have in the amp right now, but have no idea what the originals were. Thanks again for your patience - this is my first MM and I'm trying to learn as much about it as possible!!!

I've not seen raytheon's as OEM distribution in MusicMan amps. The 6CA7 originals that I've come across have , for the most part, been Sylvanias. |

Most of the NEW series amps I've seen-rp's, rd's, etc., had 6l6's in them. You might want to look in the chart if it's still around and see if your amp is SUPPOSED to have that tube in it. A lot of people replace the 6l6's by accident, thinking MM all use 6ca7's. Just a thought. Mike. |

I have done this NUMEROUS times on this system... and even with admin priveleges, it is not easy to change (when I try to cover up the product of my impatience and less-than-stellar proof-reading)! Steve
