Levon Helm on SCTV's first NBC show.

Author Message   Steve Kennedy Posted on Sunday, July 04, 2004 - 11:34 pm:    The first "NBC" season of SCTV (90-minute shows) was recently released on DVD. In the first show of the season, Levon Helm (formerly of The Band... see item above about "The Last Waltz") has a band that takes part in a skit and plays a number (under the guise of a sound check). The guitar player is playing a natural-finish Telecaster with a black pickguard through an older Music Man 410 (silver badges). The recording quality and mixing was excellent and the Music Man tone is quite evident during the solos!
