I looked at the picture of the RD 65 6L6 late 70's amp in the photo gallery. I wondered if perhaps there was a short at the OhmK. Coral. Some techy in a hurry that had only worked on a HD might not catch this one. The tube sockets on mine only have one capaciter per socket verses the two on the 6L6 version. Back to my other idea. I want to be able to have one 6l6(app.)and EL34 used at the same time. I figured a HD-130 could be used. Split up the pairs, rework the 6L6 duet to appropriate correct voltage and such. Now having a RD, I could see using the switching arrangement in the RD in a HD. I need another phase inverter don't I. Rat bastards. I like the Idea though. Foot switchable between the 2 pairs or a blending of each style tube into one output. Or switchable with two EL34/6L6 pairs with a blender knob for each channel. So you could have 90% EL34/10%6L6 on one channel and 29%EL34/71%6L6 on the other. Numbers subject to change with out notice. Is it possible?

Ya and I could have a foot switchable girlfriend. Only get negative feedback when my amp is on. Now there is a marketable item. |
