Music Man on SCTV #3 (The Tubes)

Author Message   Steve Kennedy Posted on Wednesday, August 04, 2004 - 05:49 pm:    The Tubes were the guest musical act on SCTV show #8 (first season). They performed 2 numbers, "Sushi" and "Talk to Ya Later" (which features an extended/alternate guitar solo section by Steve Lukather that I have never heard before... cool!). The band members are not particularly good lip-syncers but Fee Waybill (lead singer) was right on. The lead guitar player is playing through a Music Man HD-130R (silver badges) on top of a Music Man 412GS cabinet (Black Badges) and these sit on top of another Music Man 412GS bottom (silver badges). In "Sushi" the amp components are fully "stacked" Marshall-style but in "Talk to Ya Later" the head and black-badge cabinet are "half-stacked" while the silver-badge bottom is place to the inside on a riser.
