Hi from France,
I have an old 115RP, and the reverb doesn't sound deep : just some little reverb with reverb level on 10.
I tried as said in a post :
Music Man Amps Discussion Forum » Reverb Spring ("Tank") » 112 RD 100 wrong reverb, Posted on Tuesday, January 27, 2004 - 06:06 pm: by Barry Marie :
- Take an RCA phono-to-RCA Phono cable and
connect the Reverb In & Reverb Out jacks
directly together. Turn the Reverb level
control down all the way to "0"....
--> it works, more guitar signal when
increasing the Reverb level control.

- The footswitch works.

- The reverb tank seems to be physicaly ok. No
disconnected wires, RCA jacks are well
connected.

When I increase the reverb level, there is some "hum" (no "hum" with reverb level to zero).

Any ideas ???
Thanks in advance.

Two things come to mind... the Reverb Spring assembly may just be bad. The small transducer coils can go open or short turns and this is the most common cause of Reverb failure.

Also, if the Reverb Spring assembly is plugged in backwards this will also not work properly.

Unless you can verify you have an electronic problem by trying a Reverb Spring that is known to be operational, my guess is that it is a spring transducer or connection problem.

Thanks a lot. I'll try to find another tank.
