Anybody ever try these hemp cone speakers called Tone Tubby's made by A Broun Soun? http://www.tonetubby.com/ I read a lot of reviews on these on Harmony Central but I never heard anything about anybody putting these in a Musicman. I heard these things kick ass for clean tone but are a little dark. It seems to me that the hemp fiber would be extremely durable and ideal for that application. |

Hey I just got a Tone Tubby hempcone 12, 60 oz ceramic magnet, 80 watt speaker and plugged it in as an extension cab on a 210-HD 130. I honestly was not prepared for the ultimate in silky smooth tone. This is by far the best guitar speaker I have ever heard in my 16 years of playing! I had it turned up to 7 or 8 and it was not distorting I kid you not! The hemp is very tough. I have a feeling that it will last a very long time. I ended up installing it in my other amp which is a Fender Blues Junior. That thing is amazing now. It does have a sort of dark sound though at first but I love that being a jazz player

I'm thinking of 2X12 extension for my 210-65 and these caught my eye. They give a choice between alnico and ceramic magnets. Is there a tone difference between the two magnets? |
