I have a MM 2 10" combo, through a 2 12", and recently aquired a 1 15". They are all MM, is it possible somehow to run them all together? i understand the combo is 4 ohm, the 2 12" cab is 4 ohm = 8 ohm. what will a 15" takethe ohmage too, and then how the bloody hell would i connect it? the other predicament - my freind has a 2 12" MM combo 4 ohm, and a 1 15" MM cab, can he make two boxes equal 4 ohm, therefore running a combo with two ext cabs. i presume both of these jobs would involve a new output on atleast one of the cabs. i presume also if you mess with ohmages (wiring) you could not easily pick and choose how you want to run your amp on a particular day? as this would involve the reversal of wiring. |

If you could build an interface box using 1/4" speaker jacks, you could connect the 2-10s (4-ohms) in series with the 2-12s (4-ohms) to make an 8-ohm impedance, THEN put this in parallel with the 1-15 (8-ohms) to get a 4-ohm total. Take the output of the speaker interface box and connect it to the main speaker output jack of the amp and set the switch to 4-ohms! Actually, your friend with the 2-12s and 1-15 can simply plug the 115 (8-ohms) into the External Speaker Jack of the amp and set the switch to 8-ohms. The total impedance would be 12-ohms, but this is close enough on the 8-ohm setting. I wouldn't worry about that match-up. Steve
