My 112 RD-50 seems to break up more than I
would expect. It sounds good, but I'm interested in a little more headroom. It has new tubes, speaker, filter
caps, etc. Are any of the IC's a possible cause?
Also, the reverb has some hiss as you turn it up. Help is much appreciated.

What kind of tubes did you install? Some power tubes tend to break up REAL easy. Amperex breaks up real early. Old Sylvania's are real clean. The later versions are cathode biased(I think) so your bias shouldn't be too out of wack unless the driver board has a problem. Point is, power tubes can change A lot. Mike.

Thanks, Mike. My tubes are Svetlana 6L6, so I'm
fairly confident it's not power tubes. Any other
suggestions?
I'm also looking for a source of Sprague Atom caps
in Music Man values.

I own a 112RP 65 and have had what I was told was the "output transistor" go on me twice in the past 6 months. Can anyone let me know what might cause this to happen? I'm really curious. Thanks
