Here is my newest aquisition:

The 115HD 130 "combo"

Someone made it into a stack and I'm gonna paint it. Anyone got some suggestions as to what might look cool?

I think it looks great the way it is.

Yeah I think so too....just can't help imagining what it might look like with a psychadelic stain, or with some freaky guitar player cartoons or something really subdued but classy...can't decide...

I like the wood look myself, but there is one thing I would suggest changing.

The grillboard on the front of the head should have cutouts to allow air to flow through the cabinet to keep the output tubes cool. You may wind up cooking your amp over time if you do not improve airflow.

The factory grillboard had two (mirror-image) parallelograms on the board and grill-cloth covering the board.

Ok man thx for the tip. I will be fixing it up soon, and when I get the cloth/tooley etc I will make the holes. It has survived 29 years how it is so I will not panick right away tho.

I fourth the motion---I also think the wood finish looks great. My suggestion for ventilation would be to cut a couple of "F" holes (like on violins and some hollow body guitars) put one above the other, running horizontally along the face. That might look kind of cool with the existing "wood motif ".---Just a thought.
Cheers
