I'm getting my brother's 210 HD 130 back into gigging order. Anyone tried Eminence Ragin Cajun 10" speakers in this amp, or in any amp? What'd you like about 'em, or not like? Thanks. |

I'm not really familiar with them- I have Weber cali 10's in my 2-10(65 though) and they are great speakers. Clean. almost to a fault. THey ARE a little stiff though. Not a lot of bass response. I have to use a 15 cab or a 12 cab to get any bass response out of it. You may just have to try them. Are they at least 50 watt speakers each? They do put out some power! |

The Eminence RC speakers are rated at 75 watts. Based on my experience with Eminence, that's a conservative rating. The only thing that concerns me is that they are only offered off the shelf in 8 ohm, which would limit the use of an extension cab (even though this amp is LOUD, my brother likes the idea of an extension cabinet). I checked out the Cali specs, I think they will be too clean, I'd like some rock n roll break up. I've never tried Weber's, althogh, I've read a lot about them. I believe that they are actually made of Eminence sub components made to Weber specs. |

It shouldn't limit you at all. The 2-10 130 has the output jacks in series so the two 10's in parallel give you the 4 ohm load. Put another cabinet together with a four ohm load and flip the impedance switch. And if you use an 8 ohm cabinet, it's only 12 ohms, well within the design parameters of the OT. And believe me, it's still be loud! |

A while back, I put 4 Celestion G10s into a 410-65, and replaced the original (weak) output transformer with a Mercury Magnetics tranny. The amp sounds amazingly good -- way better than I remember these amps sounding when new. WJ |

If anyone is interested, the Eminence Ragin Cajin speakers are perfect for this amp. They hove pleanty of bottom that doesn't get flabby, solid mids, but not hinky, and highs that aren;t like ice pics. I generally do not like 10's for guitar, but as a pair in this amp, they are perfect. |

I agree with the Ragin Cajun being great musicman speakers. I have two in my 410-HD and I think they sound great. |

for those confused as me on Mike's use of the word " Hinky" 1. hinky: Something as yet undefinable is wrong, out of place; not quite right. There's something hinky about the deal. A cop's version of "I've a bad feeling about that" An event or thing which is 1) Out of whack 2) Wrong 3) Off kilter That porridge taste hinky to you? a state of being vaguely suspicious. The mark got hinky and left outta there the instant of knowledge when one becomes deeply aware that there is pure evil a foot. She knew something was hinky when her husband returned from the store without his underwear.. corrupt or faulty The PDF would not open for some people because the file was hinky. (Alkaloid slang) Cool in a weird way. Or weird in a cool way. Most scouts pronounce it "hink" and spell it "hinque". If something is superlatively hinque, it is said to be the tontay. Let's play "hinky chess". cool phat hinkie good wierd odd offbeat avant garde whack Adjective: To simultaneously act odd, insecure, jumpy, untrusting, and suspicious. If he's THAT hinky NOW, imagine what he'll be like to work with! (from the urban dictionary) |
