I bought it, and read it.

It's a decent memoir from a guy who worked at MM near the tail end of the company's run. The book mostly deals with the writer's observations during this period. There's very little actual info about amps. And not to be harsh, but the author isn't a skilled or engaging writer.

Still not a bad buy for a collector/fan of MM gear. (Didja know they had MM picks and strings? I didn't, and I worked at a MM dealer in the late 70s.)

I ordered the Music Man book online. When it arrived, I sat down and read it from cover to cover. It's a cool book to have if your a fan of MM amps. Unfortunately, it's poorly written.

I kept laughing because the "author" was instrumental in the development of a wooden box which was used to hold guitar strings. This box resembled a MM cabinet (minus the tolex). Throughout the entire book, there are numerous pictures of these boxes. The captions beneath the pictures would read something like this: "Music Man string box still going strong after 20 years!" You could tell that he was extraordinarily proud of that project! To my notion, it was a footnote in the history of MM amps. (I must admit, I wouldn't mind having one)
