Hello, maybe itīs a silly question, but I have to ask: Which types of the Music Man-amps (except the B-series) can I use with my Stingray-bass? As far as I know the HD was made for guitar AND bass, but whatīs with the RD/RP-series? Thank You for any information! |

I have a straight MM-75 (no reverb) head which was used by a friend as a bass amp since it was new. He played through an MM 1-15 bass cabinet. As far as I know, the MM-75 was used regularly by keyboardists and bassists. |

Models 65 (sixty-five), 75, 130, 150, 100B and 120B were made for bass and/or keyboard use. I'm not sure why you'd use a 'dry' amp for something like a Fender or Wurlitzer piano (just imagine a Stage 88 piano through a 2x12 HD150 with the phaser), but I digress... Obviously you can use the reverb/rd/rp heads for bass - whether you want to experiment with the onboard effects or not is up to you. I wouldn't recommend using any of the guitar combos for bass, but the 410/412GS cabs certainly have enough bottom end to be used for bass (in my opinion). The RH cabs may be used for bass also - and not just the 115 and 118 models. I have seen pictures of the BX cabinets, but I haven't tried one myself. Cheers, Lars |

We were setting up for a gig one night and our bass player's amp got the power cord ripped right out of back of it. (long story.. crazy days back then.) He ended up using my 130 reverb with a couple of 2x12 cabs. Sounded great. Dave. |
