Did a few mods for a man in Jackson Mississippi that made the brite switch usable, the deep switch was changed to a mid boost but the deep switch was hard wired to get the best amount of bass/deepness. The overdrive is what was worked over the most. He was really impressed with the sustain and tone of the overdrive. I can give you his email if you would like to contact him. The amp had been modded to take a LF353 chip in the driver section, but it called for a 1458 stock. It had some ceramic caps on some resistors to compensate for the 353 chip, but sounded sterile. Took those caps off that were not supposed to be there and put a good 1458 back there, its sounded way more natural. It also had some 6L6's in it but I biased up some Svetlana Winged "C" EL-34's, That is a good tone! |
