Hi I,m new on this site and I thought I would show pics of my 212 75 I just got it recently and it sounds great. Ive had mostly peaveys before I had a fender blues deluxe tweed but it kept having problems I've been without a amp for over a year I bought a line 6 spyder amp but it dosent sound great clean so I found this one. I'd double check, by asking the more knowledgeable here, that your speaker ohms switch is set properly. Unless the speakers in your amp are wired in series, I'd think that the switch should be set for 4 ohms. The 212 RH cabinets that have the EVM speakers (ceramic mags, as yours) show was being 4 ohms for the cabinets. I take this to mean that they are two 8 ohm speakers wired in parallel, just as it would be for your combination. The picture shows yours being set in the 8 ohm position. My first inclination is to believe that it's not correctly set. I'd advise verifying the accuracy of my belief here. Good luck. |

If the wiring is original, then yes - the switch should be set to 4 ohms with just the internal (stock 8 ohm) speakers running. Sincerely Lars Verholt |
