Picked up this beauty here locally in Northern California for $100. Grill cloth has a couple of tears, there's a little bit of rust here and there, and it smells like an ashtray. But, it freakin' rocks! Just got it today and have not had the time to really look it over for date codes or anything else. Just snapped a couple of pictures and here you are. Yes, I am new to the site, this is my first post, and I have learned a lot about MM amps in the last few days checking out this site. |

That's one hell of a deal for $100.00 Good score. 12ax7 or SS driver? Mike. |

Looks to be in great condition. Good luck with it.From my little experience on this site your speakers are similar to my 212HD 1976. |

It has the 12AX7. Jammed with it yesterday. It has a buzz and I don't think the reverb works. It got hot as hell by the end of the session (not sure if that is normal). This is my first experience with this kind of amp (any amp, really). I still need to sit and explore all this amp does. |

Great amp for $100, but do yourself a favor and get it a tune up .... By the pics it looks like an earlier model. Stand by on the back, ON/OFF/ON on the front, horseshoe alnico magnets on the speakers, etc... This amp could likely use some new filter caps, and possibly a set of tubes. CAPS go bad whether the amp is being used or not, tubes however only wear out when used or abused. If you don't put a little money into it now - it could cost BIG dollars in the near future to repair. Just my 2 cents... PS: The reverb could just be a broken wire in the reverb itself. I had to repair mine a few times... |
