This is my BABY!! I beleive its a 1978 cause its hand written on the circuit board I havent really looked into the year of it. It has 1 12AX7and 4 EL34's. I got this amp as you see it with a 4x12 that I was told was a MM GS412 but I can say for sure no logos speakers are not original but the tolex and grill cloth match the head. The cabinet is a closed cabinet the speakers come out from the front and there is an extension jack as well as an input jack. All I had to do was pull those junky Groove Tubes (I like to call them gross tubes) and put in a new set and I was off playin good music with a great amp all for 350.00 plus 100.00 for tubes and bias and the amp is in great shape pictures do no justice. If any one has info or pics of a MM GS412 please post them or send them to MusicmanHD130@aol.com Thanx!!! |

Nice find! If it is a 1978 vintage, it would probably be one of the last made with the 12AX7 as the 1979 models I have seen all have had the solid-state phase splitter circuit instead of the 12AX7. You can try either WD-40 or regular Paint Thinner to remove the tape residue on the back of the head without harming the Tolex. Steve
