In case anyone is interested, here's a recent MM speaker cabinet modification I did with which I'm very happy. I found this old 400 watt MM 1-15 bass cabinet at a garage sale for $100. The original EV speaker actually worked but I wanted to use it with my MM75 for a guitar so I put a new 150 watt Eminence Legend in it. I also wanted to get that twin reverb open back sound so I put 3-5" diameter holes in the back and used car stereo speaker grill over them. It turned out to be an awesome combination - great sound. Later I read an interview with Albert Lee where he said Eric Clapton and he opened the backs of their MM speakers and used that setup for years. I guess great minds think alike! The option for posting photos doesn't seem to be working or I would show you.

That;s a nice sized cabinet for a 15. Too often, the vabinet is 5 times the size of the speaker and that's ok for bass when you want a 40hz signal to resonate but for guitar. That big of a cab is just not needed. Good size.

Yes Mike. It's exactly the cabinet type and size I was looking for (minus the fuzzy outside, but I can live with it). I put the wheels on it and with the head which is just an inch or two wider, it's a perfect gigging box. Venues here are not large and also I'm amazed I found two old MM items at garage sales in a space of two weeks. Hardly ever see them around here. I was lucky.
