My amp is missing the ground pin on the power plug. I've already gotten a bit of a shock out of it when I inadvertantly touched a grounded piece of metal while I was tweaking the controls, and I don't want to do that again-or worse! Is there a quick and easy way to add a ground to the amp without replacing the plug? I plan to replace the plug, but not before I let a bandmember use the amp this weekend. Could I somehow attach a wire to the chassis and then to ground? |

That would certainly work. Sorry I didn't see you post sooner. Guess you either solved the problem or used it as is. To be honest with you, I almost ALWAYS get shocked wit MY MM when I use it. That's why I use a 57 instead of my 58(microphone) because the 57 has an ungounder platis windsreen instead of the 58's metal one! |

Well, I DID rehearse with it yesterday with no problems. There's a big foam windscreen on the mic we use at church, and no shocks! Usually I play bass and I was going to let one of our guitarists use the amp, but he didn't even show up for rehearsal! Our leader decided he'd like to play bass and let me try the amp in a real setting, and it sounded AWESOME. I'll still fix this as soon as I can. |
