hello, problem is loud (humm) without guitar plugged in. volume control makes no difference. (can hear slight guitar sound in back of humm) when plugged in. then after 1 min i lose power to tubes (then no nothing) . any ideas? thanks |

Does the fuse blow or just go out? When it cools off, does it come back on? Also, which chassis(amp) are we talking about? With or without PI tube. |

fuse does not blow .it does come back on after ten mins or so. it is a 65 reverb head .that is all the info i have . thank you |

Have you replaced old electrolytic caps? |

I'm going to go with bad caps OR a bad connection at one of the heater wires. Get's hot, tubes go out. OR PS transformer taking a whizz. |
