Hi, Little tube clicks flashes light and turns amp off and then resets after amp switch turned off. Looks like numbers are 9106098s on it. Any Ideas? Thanks |

Yup-take the silly thing out and throw it away. I wire around them always. You can't buy it anymore, from what I've found and it's really not needed. |

No good. I did that and the transformer went up in smoke. Any other Ideas? |

Wow, sorry to hear about the trans. It's just a lightbulb, neon or not. I'm ASSUMING that they used it to limit the amount of current passage so I have to say that MAYBE the transformer was toast anyway and was drawing way too much current so the bulb wasn't there to limit it. I've never seen one do THAT. Maybe Ed has some more info about the neon bulbs. |
