I have achoice between a RD65112 combo or the 50 watt. |

There is no way to tell which is BETTER, but Chet always liked the 50. I'm not real high on the RD models myself but they do sound good when they are right. I just never liked the drive sound. |

Thanks Mike, I used to own a 112RD 65 new & I remenmber liking it, but it was long ago. Please tell me which MM model you prefer in a combo. |

What I PREFER and what I would use are two different things. I am one of the few who doesn't like 10" speakers. That being said, I LIKE a 2-12hd 65 with the tube inverter but I wouldn't use one any more. I'm just too damned old to pick that stuff up anymore. I would prefer a head with a small cabinet, something that an old ba$tard like me can lift. Although, that also being said, I own a 2-10-65 combo that I use in my recording room and at rehearsal so that Idon't have to unpack the gigging amp from the trailer. It sounds good other than really not having enough bass response. But what do you expect out of two 10's! Long answer but I'm sticking with it. Mike., |
