Do the coupling caps and plate load resistors need to be replaced along with the electrolytic caps? I know not everyone does this when they recap, but I was wondering if I ought to do so for an amp that has seen better days a LONG time ago! The amp is a 2275-65 head with EL34s and a 12AX7, and it has been collecting dust for some time now. I'm replacing the electrolytics, but wasn't sure how important it is to do all the others as well. Opinions? |

The plate resistors should be changed(in my opinion) simpl;y due to heat. THey don't cost much and you should use metal oxide as they seem to stand the heat a little better. Mike. |
