I have a 112 RD chassis # 2165RD, loaded with 6CA7's. The previous owner said he wasn't sure if they were the correct tubes, and they appear to be bad. The schematics posted on this site show two versions--GD2 and GD2A. These schematics appear to be virtually identical in terms of component values, although one shows 6L6GC's as the power tubes. How can I tell which type this amp is supposed to have? Thanks-- |

Look at the configuration of the output tubes on the schematics and compare all their connections They are 95% the same but there are some subtle wiring differences you can see on the schematic that should allow you to determine which variant you have. Steve
