I purchased from a used guitar shop five years ago used amp. I really did not know, and still really don't, a lot about the amp, except that I really love the way it has always sounded. Am an amateur just taught myself some guitar and wanted to play with some friends on occasion. One evening one of these friends said my amplifier was really special! Aside fromn always loving the sound, I am trying to identify the model, power, etc..Can anyone help me here? This I know; Standby, off, on switch in rear. reverb/tremolo foot switch, Bright and normal toggle switch, four speakers, looks like some fender amps I have seen before. Anyway thanks in advance!! |

I just realize that my amp looks exactly like the one on the home page, except I don't have the "410" emblem on the bottom right. Thanks again |

If your amp is identical to the home page picture, then it is a 410. In general: If it has a black Music Man logo plate, then it is probably an HD-150 version (4 6L6 output tubes) or a 75-series model with 2 6L6 output tubes. If the logo plate is silver/gray, then it is either an HD-130 (4 6CA7 or EL34 output tubes) or a 65-series (2 6CA7 or EL34 output tubes). Your friend is correct, they are special!

Hallo, I'm Jörg from germany. I've found your site on a search engine. A guy of our practice room pool uses an 112RP Model of 65 series. He always likes to get informations about this amp. But he didn´t found anything. The serial number is DN 01398. In which year this amp was build? It has EL34 output tubes. Are they original? I know it´s possible to use EL34 if the originals are 6L6GC after some Bias Corrections. So I think its one of the later models from the 80´s?? The schematics of the amp I found on your site and I already loaded it down. The Speaker is black and it hat an square magnet an the back. is it original and which brand is it?? thats it for the first, sorry for my english and thanx for answers cheers Jörg |

Hi The early RP and RD did use EL34/6CA7. When not enough EL34 tubes were available to meet their needs they were switched to 6L6 tubes. To change tubes you must do more than re-bias. The square magnet speakers are Eminence. |
