Saw Richard back in '84/84 maybe at the Park West in Chicago. Probably the "Across a Crowded Room" tour. Played a 4-10 65 or a 4-10 130 with his old Strat. Still have a tape of the concert that was aired on WXRT. Superb show, superb guitar playing, and superb guitar sound. What higher recommendation is there than Richard Thompson!??!} |

Sorry... Richard Thompson? If you have a record label and name, I'll give him a listen. Thanks. |

Oh my god! Do a Google search for Richard Thompson or "Shoot Out The Lights". Or go here http://www.richardthompson-music.com/ . Only one the best ever...you don't know what you're missing!

I have that concert on DVD. I noticed he was using some sort of Music Man but up until I read this thread I had no idea what it was. I have been in love with his tone from that era. I just recently tried out a 210HD and I was impressed, now I am hunting down one of the older 4x10 combos to try out. Richard has always been a god to me and that concert taped back in 86 I believe was a true mind-blowing expierence. |
