If you find a MM amp that needs help or just want much more of a good thing, send it to Ed. I think you can find him on here or he lives near Red Bluff, CA. He can mod it, tweak it, or restore it. I let him have his way with my RD50 combo and it came back as a great amp for all the styles I play (jazz, blues, fusion, roots etc). While working on your amp he keeps in touch often by email. He'll also send great soundclips along the way to choosing and improving your tone and is open to your suggestions. Different speakers, brighter darker tonestack, amounts of gain, you name it. He will even look after cosmetic issues with enthusiasm as he truly cares what you end up with. Bottom line his rates are more than reasonable and the whole experience is fun! |

Yes... Ed went completely through my 130HD(12ax) head, recapping, tubing, checking, and tweaking. He brought it back to me and the tone was there, it had never sounded any better. He loves to talk amps/music/playing and is a wealth of good information. I feel very fortunate to be able to have him work on my amp. He's a great guy and I wish the best for him. Take Care & Thanks Ed. |

There can't be enough said about Ed,this site would be alot less without him ,he has helped me and others.Ed is so good he needs to recreate a line of amps like the musicman and retail them ,I think he would make a mint,Ernie Ball should kick himself for not exploring this possibility |
