FYI Boy am I glad I have the 112! My band mate blew his stock speaker in his 110. The only speaker I could find that will REALLY handle the power and still clear the reverb tank was the Jensen Neo 10. Sounds pretty good and is supposed to sound better as it breaks in. He likes it - not too bright sounding, nice tight bass and very effiecient. I feel these are very bright amps with the single 10 so that is a good speaker for these. Has anyone tried them?? |

I have one in my ~1981 110RD
I have one in my ~1981 110RD-50. My original speaker (not an EVM) recently blew, and I got talked into replacing it with a Jensen neo. It's horrible! My amp used to sing sweetly - now it sounds like fingernails on chalkboard. Due to some screw-ups, my old speaker got lost, and I'm desperately trying to find out just what it was. After much searching, I think it might have been an Eminence.
Can anyone tell me the exact model it would have been? I need my amp back!
I'm currently using an old Acoustic 150 6x10 cabinet, which sounds great but weighs at least 500 lb; but even with that, I can't have that thrice-cursed neo in the mix, I have to unplug it.
