Hello!
I'm about to build a Strat with some parts I have lying around, including the infamous 25dB Clapton boost.
I have a MM 65 115 with a tweaked preamp section (a knob on the back which adds tons of gain) and I'm concerned about the amp handling the overwhelming power of the Clapton circuitry. (I'm using the preamp distortion which turns out to be quite good.)
Is it a good match?
There is an old Fender Dual Showman Red Knob for sale... I might grab it and sell the Music Man... as the Fender might distort in a more musical way paired with the EC boost... I don't know :p
