I have a MM 410-65 whose original speakers were long overdue for replacing. It was sounding so dull and muddy I rarely used it. After much research I put two Weber 30 watt 10A125's with AlNiCo magnets on top and two Weber 25 watt 10F150's with Ceramic magnets on bottom. I also replaced the electrolytic caps at the same time. The improvement astounded me. This amp sounds sweet now. I'm hearing sounds and tones I really don't remember ever hearing from this amp and with unsurpassed clarity. You can certainly get cheaper and more expensive speakers, but I honestly think you can buy no better sounding speakers.

BTW, the old 10" ceramic speakers were plain black and made from stamped metal. I could not find any writing on the speakers anywhere. However the backs of the cones had "P4453-5" printed on them, but I could not find any such manufacturer code. Any idea of the manufacturer?

Just a second endorsement for the Weber Speakers. He does a great job, have a pair of the California bass 12's in my cab for the 65 Head. Couldn't be happier. David |
