Howdy,
I’ve been refurbishing my 210 HD One Fifty I have had since the mid 80s, and while the speakers aren’t shot, I am looking to replace them (they are the MM branded variety). I have, and still do play very loud, both clean and with fuzz/distortion. I was looking at Celestion creambacks but they only come in 12”.
I’d be grateful for recommendations on rich sounding high wattage replacement speakers.
Best,
Dave
I put Weber California's in
I put Weber California's in my 2-10-65 and they are rated for some ungodly high wattage. Very happy with them. I bought Weber Cerwin Vega knockoffs for my 12" cabs. Also very happy with them. Don't remember the wattage on them but they are on the Weber site. Mike.
Thanks for the tip, Mike.
Thanks for the tip, Mike.
I see their having a cyber Monday sale, so I may just pull the trigger. My understanding is that my stock eminence speakers are 8ohm so I’ll go that route. Did you opt for the traditional paper cone cover?
The cali tens come standard
The cali tens come standard with the metal cone and I wish I HAD paper cones at times. Takes a little of the bite out.
