Hi I think we need to get some of the EXport Transformer Pics here on how they are wired up. I know that some of power switches are black with 4 wires and there is a board with some fuses soldered to it and you have no auxillary power out! If any of you could take some pics and post them of the HD and RD amps of where the wires go, this will help if you get a amp without a power supply. This will help all of you export guys, because we don't see them here in the USA, and the transformers are still available. | ||

convert from 220v to 110v
Hello,
I'm in Europe, but planning on returning to California in the next few months.
Anyone know how easy it is to convert from 220v to 110v in a HD-130?
Do I need to swap the input transformer or can it be rewired?
Wondering whether to sell or keep and ship back to the US with all my household goods.
Thanks!
Don't remember seeing any
Don't remember seeing any export transformers on 130 but the other export transformers had options for 220-250 or 120-100v. I'm afraid you'd need to get a US transformer to swap in. That's all I see right now. Of course, I could be wrong. Mike
You need to swap the transformer
Hi there, I went through this in 2002. Brought an export amp with me to Canada from Europe. Used an external transformer for a few years until I finally decided to just swap in a proper North American power transformer. I sold the original transformer to a person in Australia so the swap only cost me very little (some elbow grease on my own part of course).
Would I do that again? No, I would probably sell the amp in Europe and get another one in the US once I got there. They are so much cheaper in the US.
Cheers,
Lars
