My Music man 110-RD cold start trouble

First of all, Thanks for gave me access to this wonderfull forum

Im a hugdge fan of the music man amps since i saw My guitar teacher, who is friend and used to playing with the great Chris Cain, ( when Chris visited his country), playing one...what a sound....
For me, those amps Have a special sound, like a good fender that went to the gym to got some muscle

I owned three: two reverb drive 50 and an hd-130, that foolish sold when I stopped to play with friends, plus my back issues with weight, and the 110 step down ( I has been living in Europe since 2004)

Tranksfully the other day I found, an all original 110 RD export, ( very difficult to find one in europe in good shape) that cames from factory 220 volts, and inmediatly remebered why I love this amp, when i got my 335 plugged.

Sadly he cames with a little surprise, Doesnt sound when you switch it on cold, needs some volumen pot tap/manipulation in order to sound , and once he starts to sound and get hot, the issue dissapears.

A cold solder?, tubes? electronic part fail?

The seller told me that the tubes are old

Please I Needs some advice.

Thanks Guys, sorry for my English and greetings from the old Europe

First thing I would suggest

First thing I would suggest is cleaning ALL the pots and the tube sockets. THEN see if it still does it. Any amp that sits for and extended period is prone to some gremlins popping up. See if THAT helps first and then let us know. Also, you might try pulling any IC's and re-seating them as a precaution. Front end electronics don't take much corrosion to interrupt signal flow. Thank so much

Mike....Thank you for your advise!!! Im on it...Love those Music man amps

At the time, I Found and Bougth a reissue 112-RD for a couple of bucks, this sound great too, but came with a reverb noise problem, but solve my gig/rehearsal problem, while the oldie is getting ready for the road again

Thank so much guys
