I'm thinking ...

I'm thinking that might be a 2/10/65 or 130 with the 12ax7 tube. Is that a drink cup sitting on top of that amp, or does it just look that way? Me thinks yer flirt'in with disaster with a beverage vibrating on your amp's brains. But.. that's just me. Dave.

Had that happen to my twin

Had that happen to my twin back in the day. Waitress came up behind stage and stuck a beer on top of my amp. It spilled and the cold beer hit hot tubes. BOINK. Finished the night with a single ended twin! Good thing she was cute! Mike.

PS-yeah, looks like a 2-10 of some variety since at 2:54 it's sitting next to a fender twin and it's a lot shorter.

one cute girl ..

Yup.. one cute girl and my head is toast. Never had a drink spilled on my amp but we did a outside summer partly one night when a thunder cloud opened up on us. Rain was coming down as we started breaking down our gear. The folks at the party started helping us out, putting our gear inside the house. I always thought that was really cool/nice of them to do that. Dave.

I tell everybody the same thing...

I tell people that it's dangerous to put a drink on my amp. Most often people will ask 'oh, because of the high voltages?' and my reply is that no, it's because I will hurt you if you put a drink on my amp :)

So, no drink rings on my amps...

Drinks on Amps

I guess I should paint myself as lucky because the above mentioned incident is the ONLY time it happened. I have been sitting crap on my amps since day one and NEVER had a problem until THAT incident. Lucky! Anyway, the rule now is just don't do it. Although, I HAVE been SLIGHTLY intoxicated a few times when playing so anything IS possible. (snicker snicker). Mike.

Covered Amp Logos

I forgot they used to do that. To me, seeing a full Marshall stack with all it's logos covered is eerie. Wonder if they ever tried, or talked about doing the guitars, and all other band gear with the tape treatment.

I'd love to been a fly on the wall at that production meeting.. Dave.
