i have just bought a musicman rp100 the speaker sound fine as does the amp but it is unbranded with no marking anywhere the magnet on on it is big and looks very similar to the ev in my mk v boogie any idea what it is. ? The logo plate is black with the raised bit in silver if it helps. mark | ||

The EVM loudspeakers were offered as a factory upgrade and as such were "factory equipment" if ordered that way originally. There is no branding on these units. The EVM speakers are easy to spot with their huge magnet and distinctive cast frames (plus they weight a ton!). Steve | ||

Steve, I just got a 112RD 100 w/ a 15" (yes 15") speaker that has a huge black magnet. I was told it was an Altec. Any thoughts? There are no apparent mods to the cabinet. Was this possibly a custom order? |
