It says about 3, but the meter jumped aound so much I could not say for shure. are there manuals for finding the ohmage of these amps out there?

You should have a 8 OHM speaker. If someone put 4 OHM speaker in it, it would read about 3 OHM. It should not be jumping around!! Are you checking at the speaker or the wire that plugs in the chassis ? alot of wires are bad from age or the speaker may not be good. Check right on the speaker then check the wire by itself for the jumping.

I checked it out with a new meter and every thing is cool. it is an 8 ohm speaker. It was my multimeter that was faulty. (boy..i feel stupid)Thanks for the help.

One more thing, why does the speaker cab have a face plate that says "75"? I looked at the model chart that says it is 65 watts. Whats up? By the way, I live in Ontario and i have been looking for years (to no avail) for information about these amps. Thanks for the help and info. |
