Hi, I just bought a music man 410 HD without any model identification plates. The chasis # is 2275-130, and has 4 power tubes (plus a preamp tube), but is rated at 65 RMS. I think it's a HD130 because of the chasis # and 4 power tubes, but the 65 watt rating is throwing me off. I compared it to the model chart on this website and it doesn't match anything listed. Does anyone else have an amp like this or know what model mine is??

If it has 4 power tubes it is a 130. Were are you getting the 65 RMS from?

It says Output: 65 Watts RMS on the plate on the back of the chasis. Thanks for responding.

Well, my 130 says 130 RMS.

I went and looked at 5 of mine, 2 were right with 130, 3 have the output at 65. All of the chassis # 2275-130 for a 130 were right . I have a HD75 that has the output at 65, but the chassis # is right. I would have to say that they had a mis- print and were not going to dump all of the plates for this mistake when the chassis # were right. Michael, you do have a 130!

Thanks Terry! | ||

Wow...I have never seen this typographic error pointed out before! Isn't internet communication wonderful! At least I'll be ready to address this next time it comes up (if ever). Interesting catch, guys! I am sure Terry is right... why throw the plates away when you can confuse people 25 years down the road?
