Any guidance on a reasonable price range for an early model HD130 Reverb head, with tube phase inverter. Sorry no pictures...but the owner put some cane or bamboo wicker in place of the grill cloth?

the next best thing if not wanting the subscription is check what they are going for on sites like eBay,kind of a good gauge....

Ebay is a good barometer but make sure you look at what is GOTTEN for an item, not what is asked. A lot of stuff goes unsold because everybody thinks that THEY have that rare item that YOU must pay for. Patience is a great virtue when buying toys. Mike.

Those go for much higher than that but it also depends on function, general condition of the amp itself and if it has been serviced/recapped. If it sounds good, been serviced but has ugly grill cloth, who cares. Grill cloth is cheap. Also to be considered are if it has 30 yr old tubes in it or have they been changed and to WHAT. I would think a good running 130 with ugly cloth but serviced would run 400-450. Hell ugly bassmans are going for 500.00!

Really! I would have though those overpricers would have been MUCH higher. They usually think their stuff is made of unobtanium! Mike. |
