Hi Todd, one obvious thing to look at is a date stamp. If you remove the upper back cover, quite often there is a date stamp on a sticker on the right hand side of the amp chassis (seen from the back). To narrow down the vintage you can answer these questions: 1. Does the amp have 6L6 or EL34/6CA7 output tubes? 2. Does the EV speaker have a date code on it perhaps? 3. I've never seen silver badges on a white (pinwale) MM, but they may exist out there. Does yours have black or silver badges? Oops - sorry, misread your post. Your amp is the RD-100 head, not the 112 combo so forget the second question in the last post. Sincerely, Lars Verholt

1. 6L6's for the output tubes. 3. If by silver badges you mean the place where the identification numbers are embossed then silver. If not then what do you mean badges?

Any idea on a date? I have been researching and it looks like it is between '80 and '84 maybe?

Have you removed the chassis from the cabinet? Good chance there is a date written on the inside with a sharpie marker. The transformers are also stamped with a serial number that identifies the year the tranny was built. |
