Close the back of 112 RD 100 combo?

hi. i was recently playing through a closed back 2x12 cab i hadn't used in a while (2x12 Celestion 75's) and was amazed at the amount of bass i was getting.

i love the tone of my music man combo though, so i was wondering if there was a way to close the back of the cab to increase the bass? or, do something without damaging the speaker in any way, short of just using the head portion of the mm and using it to drive the external cab.

any ideas/thoughts/experiences would be great.

In a combo amp, the back is usually open for cooling purposes and it is cheaper to make that way. Trying to do this after the fact is problematic, as you cannot get the same amount of internal cabinet volume as a separate cab would give you once you leave enough room for sufficient tube cooling.

There is always that amp stand/folded horn device that takes the rear-firing energy of your speakers and redirects it through a folded port to reinforce the front energy. It is called the SoundEnhancer by Smith Sound. Her's a link:
