Saturday evenings after Austin City Limits, Louisiana Public Broadcasting shows old Lawrence Welk Shows. Reminds me of Sunday evenings at my grandparents' home when I was a kid. Anyway, on some of the shows from the late seventies/early eighties, the guitarist is playing through a Music Man. Looks like one of the 4X10 combos. Can't see anything but the silver badge in the upper left corner.

I Have a 410 HD One Thirty that the original owner used on the show. I am not sure if he was part of the orchestra or just performed on the show. His name is Jimmy Thurston and his son just went to nashville for a record deal with The Brooks and Dunn Boys. So this amp has some pretty cool history as well as killer tone!

Wow! Is that COOL or what? I wonder if it is the same amp? Great history at work here! What are the odds? Another tribute to the longevity of the Music Man amps! |
