Hi - I own a 212 HD one thirty combo and would like to have some info on the date of production.
It has the 12ax7 pre-amp tube, chassis number C003301, speakers number A12-G-HD 67-7703. Based on other posts in this site I understand that speakers should date back to the third week of 1977; would it be fair then to argue that the amp dates not later than 1977 ?

Hi Tiziano, 7703 says when the speakers were manufactured but that may not be the same manufacturing date as your 212HD. Many MM Amps have the date hand written on the PC board. To take the guesswork out of the equation, pull the amplifier chassis out of the amp and take a look at the PC Board. Good Luck. -mgriffin
