Same song, different day

I know, I've posted a recording of this song before - but I thought my amp sounded rather splendid yesterday afternoon!

The song is written by our lead singer/rhythm guitarist. He just got himself a new Roadhouse Deluxe Stratocaster (try saying that with a mouth full of marshmallow!) and it's also sounding mighty fine through an RD-50 110 behind him out of the picture.

I seldom play 'half stack' like that - it just happened to be what worked logistics-wise for this show where we shared the stage with two other bands and just traded off doing ~ 1 hour sets to celebrate the anniversary of the bar that keeps paying us to come back.

For the FX buffs out there: In this song I use the MM reverb, a 1980's Chandler (BK Butler) Tube Driver and a 1977 Boss PH-1r phaser in the solo (with a tiny bit of boost just to lift it up). Funny thing - I've tried several other tube overdrives, BK Butler and otherwise, and none of them sound as good as this particular one. For this reason, the only thing I have changed on the unit over time (I got the pedal in 1989) is the power cord - I'm afraid to mess with it!

Cheers,
Lars (from House Brand)

That's some fine playing and

That's some fine playing and tones. That RHStrat / RD110 is really cutting through and sounding good.
I'll be heading out to our local senior center in a hour or so with my RD110. I'll be home before 12 noon, getting old does have some perks.

Now that's an early gig!

I can't _definitively_ rule out that I haven't gone to noon following a late night gig (used to play the midnight to 4AM spot at a local bar back in my salad days), but it would not happen often :) That aside, kudos to you Joel for brining music to the seniors. The Music Man 110 is the perfect lil amp for many occasions.

Thank you for the kind words too.

Cheers,
Lars
