I have a hd212 130 that i don't know age of. I have had it since about 1982. I have not used it much. A friend and I took it down to his practice building to crank it up. on the high power setting with both volume knobs about 6, it totally died. Stopped suddenly. Fuse looked good, but replaced it anyway. The amp will power his marshall cabinet and sounds great. I don't think I blew speakers because it stopped so suddenly. I have been told that there is a fuse that goes to speakers, but cannot find it. Any suggestions.

Sorry-no fuse for the speakers. You may have just burned the cord, but it's unlikely. More than like is that only one speaker was working and you didn't notice it since thay are in parallel. If you can power another cab and it works fine, it's the speakers somehow. You MIGHT try replacing the wire TO the speakers first as a first step, unless you have an ohm meter. If you do have one, measure the RESISTANCE of the speaker asssembly at the end where it plugs into the back of the amp. It should read about 3 ohms which would be 4 ohms impedance. If it reads open, there's your problem. Mike.
