Rich in OZ |
It's a bit quiet at work at the moment, so I thought I'd have a go at making a press tool to knock out some chassis straps. I figure the width the radius on the ends, hole sizes and those funky little strengthening ribs are all the same. What I need is the overall lengths of different models. So come on guys I know some people would kill for some replica type straps.

rich, carlo here from melbourne, i need chassis straps bad!!!!!!!!! ok ill measure the ones i need ok they are of the rd100 head: overall length = 3 3/8" middle of hole to middle of hole = 2 5/8" and i just measured my hd130 2x10": overal length= 4 7/8". middle of hole to middle of hole: 4 1/8" widths are all the same. I really need the smaller ones done so knock me up some and tell us how much you want for your time. someone get measurements beause i might be out a bit, alsways good to measure twice.

i dont understand what you just said??

In Australia feet and inches are no longer used, we now use metres and centimeters. 1 centimeter is divisable by 10 these small increments are called millimetres or mm for short. So I need the dimensions in "mm", because when I converted your dimensions, then measured my chassis straps, I had a 3mm (1/8") difference. I figure they would not have 2 chassis straps with only 3 mm difference, it's not practical or economical. So get out your metric ruler and try again... Thanks

ha ha ha sorry man i thought you were using mm as an abreviation for musicman "you live in oz, how about using musicman?" sorry rich!!! ok 210" hd = total length = 127mm hole to hole= 108.5mm 100rd Head = total= 89mm hole to hole = 71mm crazy i found that using " i could get it to fall on the line on the ruler, i guess because they are american amps they are measured in inches to begin with, but if your working with metric tools... please someone more measurements, dont let rich make these according to my measurements!

Hi Rich Any chance you'd make some for a Pom? I need 2, 88mm long, 19mm wide, fixing holes 70mm apart, edge to centre of hole 9mm to fit a 112RP65 combo Cheers Graham |
