Tremolo has no volume

I have a 210-65 from about 1977.

When I am playing and switch in the tremolo in mid song (like the bridge in Pretty Woman) the volume drops off considerably. Is this normal? Any idea as to what could cause it or how to correct it?

Thanks,

Don

Has it been like this for a long time? The tremolo pot may need to be ajusted.

Thanks for the response, Terry. Not that I can recall. Where specificially is the tremolo pot, how should I adjust it and what should I hear happening as I adjust it?

Any tips for a novice?

How far should I have to turn it to achieve results?

Man, I do love this amp.

If you have a 2-10 with the 12ax7 PI tube, there are TWO pots on the main cicuit board. The one(looking from the front) to the left should be the trem pot.It should be about 6 inches from the right side of the board. THe pot closest to the edge of the circuit board is your control grid voltage(bias). Don't futz with that unless you know what you are doing. Just adjust the pot clockwise until you get trem gain. You may have to go back and forth a little but it won't hurt anything. Just stop when you get proper trem. Mike.

Thanks for the help, Mike. Mine does not have the 12ax7. All solid state preamp. Does that change things?

Not much-it has only one pot then. Adjust clockwise until you get trem with signal going through it, then stop. That's pretty much it. you can't hurt anything by twiddling with it, but stop when you get the desired level.
